YELLACOPTER YELLACOPTER (Bob Wilson 2010)(Loch Ness Monster x Red Zeppelin) Dip 10” SEv, Midseason, fragrant. (Both of these introductions, Y and TCE are 2004 seedlings, left to grow and show how they perform as mature clumps in a zone 5 garden.) YELLACOPTER reminds me of rotating blades, thus the name. She is an unusual form cascade spider (4.3:1) of a light yellow with a deeper throat and when she is blooming the entire clump is alive with whirling blades that will hog all attention in a garden bed. An individual flower on a mature crown will have more than a 10” wingspan and will present itself wide open on 52” scapes; 3-way branching with 26 buds. I’ve had very little luck with fertility but I think it’s there. $80 |
